Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY)

Flexible state-led funding for agriculture infrastructure, agri start-ups and value addition projects.

About this scheme

RKVY was launched in 2007 and restructured in 2022-23 as RKVY-Cafeteria, giving states flexibility to design projects suited to local needs within a menu of components. Components include soil health management, rainfed area development, agro-forestry, crop diversification, per-drop-more-crop micro irrigation, and the Innovation and Agri-Entrepreneurship Development programme that funds agri start-ups. States prepare a District Agriculture Plan and a State Agriculture Plan for approval by the State Level Sanctioning Committee. The Centre-state funding ratio is 60:40 generally and 90:10 for North Eastern and Himalayan states.
