Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY)

Cluster-based support of Rs 31,500 per hectare over three years for adopting certified organic farming.

About this scheme

PKVY promotes organic farming through the cluster approach and Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) certification. Groups of 20 hectares or more are formed into clusters, and farmers receive assistance for organic inputs, on-farm input production, PGS certification, value addition and marketing. It operates as a component of the National Mission on Sustainable Agriculture, now largely subsumed under RKVY. The aim is to reduce chemical input dependence, improve soil health and give farmers a price premium for certified organic produce.
