Integrated Scheme for Agricultural Marketing (ISAM)

Subsidy for rural godowns and market infrastructure, plus AGMARKNET price information and grading facilities.

About this scheme

ISAM supports the creation of agricultural marketing infrastructure so farmers can store, grade and sell produce better. Its Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure sub-scheme gives back-ended capital subsidy for storage infrastructure such as rural godowns and non-storage infrastructure such as grading, sorting, packing and assaying units. It also funds the e-NAM platform, AGMARKNET which publishes daily mandi prices and arrivals, the Market Research and Information Network, Agmark grading and standardisation, and training in agricultural marketing.

Who can apply

  • Individual farmers, groups of farmers, agricultural graduates
  • Registered FPOs, cooperatives, SHGs and Panchayats
  • Partnership firms, companies, NGOs and Agricultural Produce Market Committees
  • Project must be located outside the limits of a municipal corporation area for certain components

Documents required

  • Aadhaar and PAN
  • Detailed project report and cost estimates
  • Land ownership or lease documents
  • Bank loan sanction letter
  • Entity registration where applicable
  • Category certificate for higher subsidy

How to apply

  • 1Prepare a project proposal and apply to a financing bank or NABARD
  • 2Bank sanctions the term loan and forwards the subsidy claim
  • 3NABARD or NCDC releases advance subsidy into a subsidy reserve fund account
  • 4Complete the construction and get a joint inspection done
  • 5Final subsidy adjusted against the loan account
