Digital Agriculture Mission (AgriStack)
Digital public infrastructure for agriculture, including a Farmer Registry, Crop Sown Registry and geo-referenced village maps.

About this scheme
Approved by the Union Cabinet in September 2024 with an outlay of Rs 2,817 crore, the Digital Agriculture Mission builds digital public infrastructure for the farm sector. AgriStack has three foundational registries: the Farmer Registry issuing a unique Farmer ID (a 'Kisan ki Pehchaan'), Geo-referenced Village Maps, and the Crop Sown Registry populated through the Digital Crop Survey. The Krishi Decision Support System overlays remote sensing, soil, weather and crop data for advisories, and the Soil Profile Mapping component creates detailed soil maps. A Farmer ID makes it far easier to access benefits, crop loans and insurance without repeated paperwork.
