Computerisation of PACS and Cooperative Sector Grain Storage Plan
Digitisation of 67,000+ primary cooperative societies and decentralised godowns at PACS level for farmer storage.

About this scheme
The Ministry of Cooperation is running two linked initiatives. The Computerisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies project, with an outlay of about Rs 2,516 crore, brings over 67,000 PACS onto a common national ERP software linked to the state cooperative banks and NABARD, so a farmer's loan, deposit and input transactions are digital and transparent. Alongside, the World's Largest Grain Storage Plan in the Cooperative Sector converges existing schemes such as AIF, AMI, PMFME and PMMSY to build godowns, custom hiring centres, fair price shops and processing units at the PACS level, allowing farmers to store their produce in the village and avoid distress sale and transport cost.
